It is getting to be that time again. Second Saturday (August 14th) is served up in style at your favorite cupcake place and in fact your favorite block!

All festivities start at 7:00 and go until you tell us to stop.

Big Hairy Monster’s Big Hairy Show! (3105 E. Colfax)
Did you do a piece for this show? Well you were probably supposed to. The fabulous ladies of BHM called on their friends to help out with this monster of a group show. I don’t have a picture but frankly, I should be working on my piece for this so you will just have to come to the opening to see what’s going on.

In the Rockbar parking lot (3015 E. Colfax):
Barter Town Bazaar and flea market! So anyone can come, sell their stuff for free from 6pm to 10pm call Ryan at 845 222-0272 if you are interested, I think there are still a couple of slots left.

Also in the Rockbar parking lot there will be Bike Soccer!

There will also be DJ’s I forgot to mention and food and beer so we will be expecting you.

6:30 to 8:30 Thursday, July 1st at The Shoppe (3103 E. Colfax, but you knew that)

Come join The Shoppe and Plastic Chapel as they team up for this fun little party that will get more than just your creative juices flowing. We will have Munnies for sale (at a discount) and templates and paper for Vending Art Company, coloring books from Newspeak (for free) as well as paint, colored pencils and whatever else we can find. Bring something you are working on or just your fabulous self!

Bike to work day means goodies. This week ride your bike to The Shoppe and receive one free MINI cupcake. This is all for now. Stay tuned for more developments.

John Denver, indeed, left on a jet plane. John Cakes (& crew) packed their bags and were ready to go.  Johnny cut up one of our rugs while the crew stopped to breathe for only minutes, before they were asking us to kiss them and smile for them. Then they left. In a cloud of exhaustion, these troops marched on to deliver us, the public; the best shirts, with the most heart, and even better personalities. Does everyone already know and love the details of these T shirts? Each hot T has some valuable information stored at the hemline, just for your eyes to see. Unless you choose to share it, (that is)  your hot tea.. ‘cuz that’s what you are, a hottie.’  Regardless of whether you drink hot tea, are a hottie, or if you wear one of Johnny’s hot T’s the last joke would be LOST on you… (even ABC didn’t show a new episode because they knew we were hosting Mr. Cakes..) (shameless self plug: watch LOST HERE with us every tuesday @ 8!) .. if you don’t share in our awe of arrested development. (arguably the greatest comedy sitcom in television history) We were honored to play host to such an icon. As the crew and Johnny both loaded up into their vehicles, i remember thinking just how much we here @ the shoppe have in common with them. We love our product and follow a leader who obviously loves their job. You can taste the love in these and those cakes.
